Complexity of efforts to degrade Houthi capabilities

CERL Executive Board member General Joseph Votel is quoted in a New York Times article discussing how U.S. efforts to disrupt Houthi capabilities in the Red Sea are complicated by several factors, including the group’s combat tactics and the risk of regional instability.

General Joseph L. Votel, U.S. Army (Ret.) is the former Commander of the U.S. Central Command. He is a Distinguished Senior Fellow on National Security at the Middle East Institute and a member of the CERL Executive Board. Read his bio here.
