Just war theory in the Israel-Hamas war

CERL Advisory Council member Mary Ellen O’Connell spoke with the Catholic Review about the Israel-Hamas war through the lens of international law and just war theory. According to Prof. McConnell, even if a state involved in armed conflict is engaged in a just cause, it is incorrect to assert that the war itself is morally just.
